Projects implemented by the Society:

- in 2010 the project “Increasing of competencies of Ludza Society for the Disabled”, financed by Society Integration Fund, was implemented. Within the framework of the project, members of the Society learned how to work out project applications; acquired basic English; learned traffic rules and driving a car to get a driver’s licence. Now the long-term action plan, developed within the framework of the project, is being implemented. Total costs of the project made 14300.05 LVL where 12869.39 LVL is public financing and 1430.66 LVL – co-financing of LudzaMunicipality.
- in 2011 the ELFLA project “Improvement of working conditions for Ludza Society for the Disabled and purchase of equipment” was implemented. Within the framework of the project, premises of Ludza Society for the Disabled were renovated and necessary equipment (furniture, computer devices and electric appliances) was purchased. Total costs of the project made 5758.40 LVL where 5182.44 LVL is public financing and 575.85 LVL is co-financing of LudzaMunicipality.
- implementation of the project, supported by Soros Foundation Latvia, “Foundation of knitting workshops in Ludza and Zilupe municipalities for the increase of economic capacity of disabled people” was started in 2011 and finished in 2012. As a result of the project, two knitting workshops were founded – one in Ludza Town and the other in ZilupeTown. 45 disabled people and mothers who are raising children with disabilities from Ludza and Zilupe municipalities were given the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about machine knitting, clothes design, entrepreneurship and marketing. Total budget of the project made 19,864 EUR where 18,864 EUR is financing of Soros Foundation Latvia and 1,000 EUR is co-financing of Ludza and Zilupe municipalities.
- in 2012 the ELFLA project “Purchase of a laptop to ensure equal possibilities for people with disabilities of Ludza Society for the Disabled” was implemented. Within the framework of the project, a laptop was purchased, which is used for the training of the members of the Society to work with standard computer programmes (Word, Excel, LiveBruch (a free alternative of the programme CorelDraw), Power Point etc.) and work in the Internet environment, as well as in the daily work of the Society. Total public costs of the project made 934.67 LVL.
